Want to know a secret? I LOVE planning corporate events! Ok, so it wasn’t that big of a secret, but I really do love meeting with my client and brainstorming ways to bring their brand to an event and making it every bit as special as what they do.
I had the upmost privilege to plan the 100th anniversary celebration for E.T. Gresham, one of Hampton Roads premier construction companies, at Norfolk Yacht & Country Club.
Nearly everywhere you look, there is a past or present construction project that E.T. Gresham has been a part of. Can you imagine being part of a legacy like that and bringing change to your community for a hundred years! One of the most fascinating aspects if this company is that they are still family owned and operated with Earl’s son William at the helm. Two of William’s children, Billy and Kathryne, also work for the family business.
To celebrate this momentous milestone, an evening of fun was designed for their employees to really let loose. It was important that we capture the spirt of the company, so we had a custom ice sculpture commissioned that mimicked their newest acquisition, a crane! We also worked closely with management to plan games and contests in which the employees could win amazing prizes like televisions and gas grills to overnight stays and concert tickets! To cap off the night, they also received a swag bag filled with branded goodies as yet another way to say, “Thank you” for all their hard work. A great time was had by all, but mostly importantly, my client’s goal were achieved; their employees felt valued and appreciated. It was such a pleasure to work with a company that invests in their team the way E.T. Gresham does.
